Recipe Tips

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground turkey with the spices for about 8 minutes until browned.

Add the tomato sauce and chicken broth. Cover the skillet and cook for 12-15 minutes until the ground turkey is cooked through.

Build the casserole, line a baking dish with 2 flour tortillas. Then, spread half of the refried beans in an even layer. Use a silicone spatula to make it easy.

Top with half of ground turkey taco meat, spreading it evenly. Next, sprinkle the top with half of the shredded cheese.

Arrange the remaining 2 tortillas on top, then spread the rest of the refried beans and the taco meat. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle the top with half the remaining cheese. Arrange the crushed tortilla chips on top and add the rest of the cheese. Bake for 10 minutes.

Let the casserole rest for 10-15 minutes to allow it to set. Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, or your favorite taco toppings.

Garnish the Taco Bake

Serve the casserole with a side of sour cream, lime wedges and your favorite hot sauce, if desired. Enjoy!
