Classic Holiday Side Dish

Fresh Green Bean Casserole

This green bean casserole is made with fresh green beans and cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom. It’s a variation of the classic holiday casserole that we all know and love.

Ingredients: Fresh Green Beans (steam in the bag, if available), Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup, Milk, Soy Sauce, Black Pepper, French Fried Onions

01

Prepare the green beans by steaming or boiling them until they are crisp-tender. Try not to overcook them so they stay bright green and snappy.

02

When the green beans are cool enough to handle cut any extra long beans in half.

03

Combine the soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper in a casserole. Then add the green beans and ⅔ cup of the crispy fried onions.

04

Stir well to combine the ingredients.

05

Bake the casserole, uncovered, at 350°F for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly on the edges. Stir and top with the remaining onions.

06

Bake another 5-7 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy!
