Easy Seasoned Rice

Seasoned rice is an easy and flavorful alternative to plain white rice.


Cook the rice in the butter and oil for 5 min. Then add the paprika, garlic, dried parsley,  onion, pepper, cumin, and crushed pepper, stir.


Add the broth while stirring. Then, add the chicken base and stir well until it dissolves. Bring the broth to a boil (about 2-3 min.).


Lower the heat and let the broth simmer until the liquid is almost gone and the rice is visible on the surface (about 10 min.). Stir occasionally.


Lower the heat to low, cover and cook for 20 min., or until the rice is tender. Stir once halfway through the cooking time. Uncover the pan and fluff with a fork.

Recipe Tips Use reduced sodium broth if you are sensitive to salt. Don't uncover the rice except to stir once. Don't over stir the rice or it will get sticky.

Taste and add salt if needed. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with the fresh parsley, if desired.
